Body Detoxification and Stress - Will They Get Along Together?
Your body will surely have enough problems dealing with the onslaught of toxins and other harmful substance accumulated inside it. But did you know that there is another culprit lurking around the corner and hampering your detoxification progress?

If you aren't already aware of it, yes, it's stress, and it's not making your life any better.

Why stress and body detoxification just doesn't go well together

When your body is filled with so many toxins, your system is working the extra mile just to get it cleansed. Like you, it also gets tired and fatigued, and like mechanical machines, it also gets worn down especially when not properly maintained. Stress is what weakens the body significantly, and it is for this reason that even the healthiest people contract illnesses and other health problems. When your body is under constant stress, it isn't able to function very well, and therefore your immune system is less efficient in fighting off infection, which then makes you sick.

Your adrenaline levels also rise up when your body is under stress, and this can mean problems for your digestive system. It is for this reason that you almost don't feel hungry very often when you are stressed. In the long run, this can have negative effects which can impede the body's natural ability to detoxify on its own. Your digestive system won't be able to produce enough enzymes which help your body fight off toxins that you take inside you.

The unusual rise in hormone and chemical levels in your body is triggered by its reaction to stress, and these substances usually contain what is known as free radicals, which are the main ingredient for having what we all know as cancer. Always remember to take stress seriously and make sure you know how to fight it. Whether you are in a detoxification program or not, having ways to fight stress will ultimately benefit you in the long run. And here are some examples of fighting stress:

1. Have regular bath sessions. Taking a warm bath can do wonders in reducing stress while cleansing you from the outside. When you are in the bath tub, try some epsom salts or bentonite clay to give yourself a relaxing and detoxifying bath experience.

2. Take deep breaths. You might not be aware of it, but relaxed deep breaths can help alleviate the stress that you feel. Try sitting on a comfy couch for a few minutes and take relaxed deep breaths. You can do some research on the internet about breathing techniques and methods which help release stress from the body.

3. Try meditation. This one is very much related to taking relaxed breathing, but meditation focuses on our state of mind and gives us a calm and relaxing sensation. This can be usually done while having relaxing music on the background, such as nature sounds.

4. Exercise regularly. A light to moderate exercise keeps our body balanced as it flushes away toxins through our sweat.

5. Get enough rest and sleep. Having enough sleep allows our body to heal and repair itself from the day's strenuous activities. It is recommended to have at least eight hours of sleep everyday to recharge your body's energy and vitality efficiently. With these steps followed religiously, you will now be on your way to an effective and successful detoxification program. With stress out of the way, you will surely feel much lighter, more energized, relaxed and happier too!
