The BoxYoda team is our most important asset. The common thread linking our diverse sporting and professional backgrounds is a passion for bringing long lasting health and wellbeing to our customers. Our team is made up of fitness professionals, yoga instructors, dance teachers, nutritionists, massage therapists, chefs and performance coaches. As individuals, we're experts in our own field. As a team, we're totally focused on helping you achieve your health and fitness goals.


Image Brian Downer - Founder

An ex-England international athlete in the Long Jump, a registered Boxercise instructor and registered Kettlebell instructor, Brian set up BoxYoda to bring his passion for sport, wellbeing, travel and entertaining together into a format he could regularly share with other people. Brian says "A BoxYoda experience is the ultimate MOT for your body and soul. You’ll feel leaner, fitter and stronger than ever. Your eyes will be bright, your body firm, your mind clear. Image Laura Church - Nutritionist

A nutrition consultant since 1991 with 10 years in the British Judo Team, Laura has helped clients lose weight, tone up, recover from injuries, eating disorders and illnesses such as asthma, arthritis and diabetes. Laura has trained Commonwealth and Olympic athletes and also works with football clubs throughout the country, training players and advising them on nutrition. Image Shani Anderson - Trainer

Shani has represented Great Britain for over 11 years in athletics. She competed in the 2000 Sydney Olympics, won bronze at the 2002 Commonwealth Games where she captained the England Women’s track team. Shani is a REPS level 3 qualified Personal Trainer, a UK Athletics certified athletics coach (level 2) and a B.A.W.L.A. coach. Shani runs her own exclusive gym on Great Portland Street and also delivers corporate health and wellbeing programmes. To find out more about Shani click HERE.
 
Image Elisa Devlin - Yoga Instructor

Elisa has been teaching Vinyasa Flow Yoga in Los Angeles, California and London. Her teaching style is designed to increase flexibility, and develop mind/ body awareness, while strengthening and toning the muscles. Using a simple and effective sequence, there is a strong focus on breath and on correct alignment. Elisa also has over 10 years dance and movement experience.
